Are you saying they are real? Do you really think they'd put real zombies in here? [A shift would be the only thing they could do to control them...]

I don't know. Maybe? If they are Shifted, then it could be the case. Either way, they aren't bothering us. So we can just avoid them, right?

I guess. [She still doesn't like the idea of them being absolutely everywhere.] Let's just hurry to the haunted house, okay? I don't want to be out here any longer than I have to.

Well, yes, lets.

[She's no more anxious to be around them than Yuuna, really. So she quickens her step and in a few minutes they're at the entrance to the haunted house!]

Are you ready, dearest?

[She pokes her head into the haunted house, checking it just in case. Of course, it's too black, and she doesn't see anything.]

As long as there's no zombies in here too...

It's just like the Haunted Houses back home. There's...probably just people in costume, that's all.

[All the same as she steps in she makes sure that the knives hidden in her sleeves are within reach, just in case.]

[Yuuna follows in cautiously after, but there doesn't seem to be anything in the entrance. Not that would frighten her, anyway.]

[She'll follow down the first corridor, enjoying everything else that isn't a zombie and anticipating when one of the workers will try to jump scare the two of them.]

[Striding down the hall confidently, Saori moves past a door...and a man in a sheet jumps out, grasping her arm and letting out a ghostly wailing sound. With a vaguely bored expression, she looks to Yuuna.]

What do you think? A for effort, B for execution?

Ahhhh!

[Following close behind, the man jumping out certain scared her and he didn't even grab her.]

No, I'd give an A for both, actually!

[Saori looks at her friend...]

Seriously? This...scared you?

[She's holding her hand up to her chest, trying to catch her breath.]

Yes! He came out of nowhere!

He came out of a panel in the wall, darling.

[She reaches a hand back to squeeze Yuuna's shoulder.]

This is all staged. Trust your senses, you'll be able to pick up on them.

[She pulls a face, but nods. Yeah, she'll try...]

[And off they go again, walking through the haunted house when something that Yuuna can't even tell what it is falls down from the ceiling and gives a fake little laugh, causing her to jump and whine behind Saori, gripping onto her shoulders.]

What in Heaven and Earth is that!?

[The laughter makes Saori jump as much as Yuuna's deathgrip on her shoulders. She looks up in consternation...]

Stars, it...looks like a spider. But is that a jester's cap?

[She looks up from behind Saori. Wow, a stuffed spider with a little cap. Sighing, she lets go, walking forward a few paces until finally turning around to face Saori.]

I have a feeling I'm just going to jump at-

[And that's when the employee takes the opportunity to grab her shoulders with a shriek, sending Yuuna jumping a few feet in the air, screaming and running back toward the beginning of the room.]

[This time it's different. Saori's reaction is swift and immediate, and she grabs the employee and tosses her aside with a casual motion, sending the woman sailing away.]

Yuuna, that...let's...are you alright?

[That one...Saori noticed, was a real zombie.]

I'm...fine! [Yeah, she's not fine, she's shaking like a leaf.] They got me really good that time, didn't they, hahaha....

[She eyes the thrown woman. That makeup job was really good. She's not going anywhere near that thing. Because...why isn't she yelling at Saori for throwing her?]

Saori? That...[She points at the zombie.] That's not...

[Saori's reply is quick, sharp, and decisive. She heads to Yuuna and takes her hand, tugging her backward, towards the door.]

No. No it isn't. But we're leaving all the same.

[Totally lying.]

Okay...

[She doesn't have a single problem following Saori out. Nope. Haunted houses are not as fun as watching a scary movie. Because in movies, they don't grab you. ~~Or have real zombies~~.]

Uh, where are we going now? [Home...?]
