[Yuuna had been living a relatively easy life compared to some of the other residents in Luceti, still bearing the idea of 'it won't happen to me.' Until it finally did, and in the midst of the early morning of the 15th she disappeared from Luceti. Thankfully, she was returned no less than a day later, no worse for the wear, but pretty shaken up by the whole ordeal. Her body hurt a little, but it was nothing she couldn't handle.

Returning home sometime in the morning of the 16th, she enters House 44 very much wide awake, telling herself she needs to go look for something to eat. Not for long, as she moves on from there without even starting to look for any food, standing with a blank look on her face until she decides to go upstairs instead. But when she gets upstairs, she stops outside her room, looking around with a confused look, before she heads back downstairs and into the living room where she finally sits.

And even then, she's not sure why she even went in there in the first place.]

Hey everyone! I know it's been a while since I used this, but I just needed to ask some of you that...

[But her voice trails off, looking at the camera with a blank look.]

Well um, I guess I had a brain fart or something, it was on the tip of my tongue. Hold on, I'm sure I'll think of it. [How embarrassing. She thinks for a second, turning away- then looks back, in surprise.]

This thing is on?

[Yuuna's about town, doing errands, or at least trying to. She heads to the grocery store, where she puts down her basket and completely forgets about it, then the bakery where she decides she wants to get a cake for dessert for dinner, only to start to walk away without it in hand after she's already had it prepared and sitting up on the counter ready to be taken. She'll also be found wandering about the square, not really sure as to where she was headed in the first place.

Later she can be found helping out at Mythoria Café, formerly known as Cloud Nine, chatting it up with some folks. And of course she can be found at House 44, doing the normal Yuuna things- if she gets to them. Some of her chores are left half done, or not even started. She hasn't even finished making dinner, and things are starting to boil over on the stove, and other kitchen disasters commence.]

Yuuna, dearest. They've taken your memory.

[And that, quite frankly, is frightening.]

... lady, are you okay?

Somehow, I really doubt it.

Yeah, but look on the bright side, it's sort of like a vacation, if you try not to think about all the horrible things outside of the barrier. [Smiling, she turns around again, and totally leaves the cake there. Doesn't even seem like she's given it a second thought. It actually looks like she's preparing to go again...without her cake.]

Saori, if they did that I wouldn't remember you. I remember everyone here, how long I've been here, where everything is, all of that.

[She understands her concern, but really! She swears her memory isn't gone.]

[She stares back, a little embarrassed.]

Yeah, I'm fine! I just didn't know it had turned on. These things aren't haunted or anything, are they? [It's sort of a half-joke, as she picks her journal up and turns it to the side and back again a few times, inspecting it.]

Not all of your memory. Yuuna, what did you plan on making for dinner tonight?

[Hector meanders about the grocery store, cloaked, hooded, and gloved even long after coming inside. He's still far from happy about wandering into the village and facing the more crowded places, but with an empty icebox and little more than potatoes and apples left in his pantry, he's presented with few other options. Even a sorcerer has to eat.

Standing on his toes, he reaches for a block of cheese, catching sight of someone walking off from his left--leaving their basket behind. Hector stuffs the cheese into his satchel and calls after her, the forgotten basket in hand.] Miss, I believe you left this.

[It's not the things outside the barrier he's worried about, it's the stuff going on back home. Which I guess technically qualifies as outside the barrier, but whatever.]

You're forgetting your cake again.

[She blinks a few times.]

I made plans for that?

Exactly my point. Your short term memory is gone.

[Turning around at the sound of his voice, she looks once at Hector and then down to her basket. Oops. She immediately heads back to pick up her basket, greeting him warmly.]

Thanks! I almost forgot. [She peers under his hood.] Hector, is that you?

[She stops, turns around, with an embarrassed look on her face.]

Oh, you're right... [Laughing quietly, she picks it up at least.]

It's actually for a really big dinner I had planned tonight, thanks. Oh! Hey, do you want to come over for dinner?

[Hearing his name comes as a heart-pounding surprise, but as he looks more attentively at her face, he manages a smile, relief softening his eyes. Too long has passed without a familiar face.

He nods, nudging his hood back as if to prove it. That, and it's incredibly impolite to don a hood or hat while in a lady's company.] Yuuna, 'tis a pleasure to see you again. Have you fared well?

[Oh well, that...that's probably true, because she doesn't remember even meeting up with Saori here at the store.]

It is, isn't it...um...

[Cue a half panic mode, since now she's not sure how she's even going to be able to function as a normal human being.]

How long do these things last again? [Asking for the short thirty seconds of peace of mind that she'll get from the answer.]

[Saori smiles as reassuringly as she can, wrapping an arm around her partner's shoulder and taking the basket.]

A week or so.

[She leans closer and squeezes just slightly.]

Darling. You've taken care of me when I had no memory. I'll take care of you. You'll want for nothing and everything will be fine. Don't worry. It's...just a little role reversal.

For the most part. [She sets the basket back down, so she can talk to him for a moment, at least.] I just got back from the experiments I hear so much about, but I'm in better shape than some when they return.

[And it wasn't fun at all.]

[A week. Her face shows a little discouragement, but it could be a lot worse.]

With my memory not working like this, I'm going to be a huge pain. [She sighs.] I'll try not to ask for much. I'm sorry Saori, but this sort of sucks.

[She gently nudges Yuuna. Yes, it could be worse.]

No you're not. You're just going to need a little extra attention. And don't tell me you don't like it when I do things for you.

I do, but that doesn't mean I want to be a burden on you. It's one thing to try to trick you to getting me ice cream late at night, but it's another to have to force you to be around for a whole week because of me.

Though...no matter whether I remember or not, I do like ice cream at any time.

[Wink?]

It's fine, really. It'll be like the old days. Except hopefully you won't have the nightmares I did. I don't think I'd know how to manage as well as you.

[Wink.]

And of course, there's a reason we have a freezer full of it.

[Grinning back at the ice cream comment, she continues on.] I guess I can't count out the nightmares yet. We'll have to wait and see, huh? You'll cuddle with me if I do, won't you?

[She's sure she won't, Saori had a much rougher time than she thinks she's even capable of having in that department.]

Will I cuddle with you?

[She looks mock-offended.] What kind of question is that?!

[The smile fades from his face, replaced with concern. After spending several evenings eavesdropping in Good Spirits, he's heard plenty enough of the experiments and what purposes they were thought to serve. Shivers pass over him; the mistletoe had been bad enough. He suspected that would be child's play in comparison to experimentation.] At least there is that. Thus far, the Malnosso has spared me. I pray they continue to do so.

H-h-haunted?! [She squeaks, then the feed cuts off.]

[When it comes back on a few minutes later, Iris is dressed in a strange, ceremonial outfit wearing a string of leaves and beads, hands clasped as if in prayer.]

Troubled spirit, evacuate this poor person's device and leave at once!

[... well, seems like someone took that a bit literally and ran with it...]
