Why, hello Luceti! For those of you who don't know me, I'm Yuuna, Yuuna Sugasawa. I'm planning on a little trip with a friend, so I wanted to ask what you guys like to do when you go out camping or hiking? We've got a couple ideas, but I'm looking to see if anyone else had good suggestions. We'll be going out for a few days, and seeing the sights- oh, and if any of you have any advice while we're out, I'd love to hear it. Thanks!

[Yuuna's going to be in and out of the clothing shop, getting boots and other hiking things she'll need, the grocery store picking up some food, stopping by the convenience store to get any other miscellaneous items, and finally back to House 44 where she'll be cooking, packing, and playing with Keiko, the shiba inu/pug mix who is as they say, a stately old maid.]

Well, let's go! Doesn't hurt to take care of things asap, right? Do you need anytime to get ready before we head out?

Oh no, I'm more than ready to go. I usually take my daily walk around this time as well, so that's another reason I'd like to get out of the house.

Sounds good to me. Come on! [She gets up, and starts to head out. Turning, she still can't help but to tease him a little-]

I won't leave you in the dust because you're tired from working all day, will I?

[He starts chuckling softly at her.]

Frederic, how long does it usually take you to compose a piece? [She always thought the masters could whip music out like no one's business.]

[Off to the clothing store!]

That depends really. Some days it takes about six to eight hours, other times it can take up to an entire week. Why do you ask? Are you interested in composing?

I'm not sure if I have what it takes to compose, but you'd mentioned that you had to rest your hands from working on something for four hours. I guess it's safe to assume you're handwriting everything out?

[He's not from a time with computers. His hands must cramp so bad.]

Yes, it can be rather rough on the hands after awhile. I've heard of computers, but I don't know the first thing about them.

[And he doesn't want to learn.]

Well, when there's more black on the page than there is white, I'd be surprised that you wouldn't develop carpal tunnel from one composition alone. [That music is crazy to look at too.] I guess it could be worse, you could be practicing cello for eight hours straight.

I didn't develop carpal tunnel, no. But... Oh never mind.

[He doesn't want to go into detail.]

I've never played a cello, though I have seen others who do.

[She can take a verbal clue. She doesn't press the question of 'what did you develop' because that would probably be rude.]

Yeah. I love the cello, I think it's a nice balance between sounding high and whiny but not so low that it's hard to distinguish the tones. [Come to think of it...]

Have you written for anything other than piano? [Like cello?]

Yes I have. Cello, violin, and flute. I'd be happy to compose a song for you to play on your cello and I could hear how it sounds after.

That's wonderful, I'd love to hear some of those pieces. And... [She laughs.] I actually don't play cello, though I'd like to. I play shamisen. I just love listening to cello, is all.

A shamisen? I've heard of it, but I've never seen one.

When we get back, I'll show it to you. It's sort of like...well, I'm sure you've seen a banjo before, right?

A banjo... Oh yes, I saw one in a textbook at the library I used for the music class.

It's sort of like that, only the Japanese version. Saori taught me to play a little, but I'm not all that great at it. [She doesn't feel her skill as a musician even rivals Saori's skill. The goddess is good.]

I'm certain with time and more practice you could be as good, Miss Yuuna. Do not throw your ability off so lightly.

I hope so! It's really a lot of fun and I really enjoy it. [And she does have an eternity to master it.] Maybe I'll play for you for a change.

[The clothing store is closing in, and Yuuna gestures to him to follow her in. Now the real fun begins. She steps inside, and beelines straight to the men's section.]

[He follows Yuuna and begins looking around the various racks of clothing, taking his time to admire each piece of clothing along the way. He seems rather indecisive about certain things however.]

What size pants do you wear by the way, Frederic? [She's going through a wall of cubbies housing several different pairs of khaki pants, breathable and completely covered in cargo pockets everywhere.]

And do you like tan or green better? [Not that this will matter. She will probably just grab all the colors.]

Mmm that depends on the maker. [He usually wears about a medium or a large in men's pants.]

I tend to like both colors honestly.

Good! [So what does she do? She takes four pairs, two medium and two large of both colors and immediately goes to hand them to him.]

Okay, off you go! I want to see you in them too!
