Why, hello Luceti! For those of you who don't know me, I'm Yuuna, Yuuna Sugasawa. I'm planning on a little trip with a friend, so I wanted to ask what you guys like to do when you go out camping or hiking? We've got a couple ideas, but I'm looking to see if anyone else had good suggestions. We'll be going out for a few days, and seeing the sights- oh, and if any of you have any advice while we're out, I'd love to hear it. Thanks!

[Yuuna's going to be in and out of the clothing shop, getting boots and other hiking things she'll need, the grocery store picking up some food, stopping by the convenience store to get any other miscellaneous items, and finally back to House 44 where she'll be cooking, packing, and playing with Keiko, the shiba inu/pug mix who is as they say, a stately old maid.]

[A...water purifier?] Do those come in a travel size? [Saori usually takes care of the water issues after all. She inwardly giggles though, Daisy's advice was sound and definitely should be followed, but it was so militaristic for a simple camping trip.]

We'll make sure to get the rest, even if we're a little tougher than normal. Our bones can still break and we can still get hurt out there.

[True. Daisy nods upon realizing that they do not have some of the weaknesses humans would have.] I'm still not sure how many powers do you two have, but there are a lot of ways to gather and purify water on the spot. I wouldn't be surprised if portable purifiers were available here.

[And which, to reveal one of the basic functions of most UNSC body armors, would be too much information.]

I've... made some guides. For the times to go in drafts. Over the journals. [Her expression tries to remain neutral. Guides not for self-care in the wild, but for survival.] It depends on how long are you going on a trip, but most can be summed up with not catching the attention of animals, and being hygienic.

I hope...we don't catch any attention from animals. [She has no idea if there's wolves or bears or anything like that.] Hygiene I can handle, but some wild animal sneaking up on us will make me scream.

[Everyone so far is giving her reasons to bring her sword. Zomg.]

Bury any food you won't eat. That way you pollute less and gather less attention from the animals.

If... something happens, you can scare them off. Even bears can be scared away if you look way bigger than them. Or with loud sounds.

[She looks at her pistol.]

Loud sounds? I think we've got that covered. [A large thunderclap should do the trick. Saori can take care of that.] I'm not so sure about looking bigger though, I bet if I walked up to one and puffed my chest out it would still eat me! [She laughs, the thought of it is amusing, though she hopes that doesn't actually happen.]

[She laughs along with Yuuna - if anything, for the incidents where it was very close for her Squadron when they were training and faced off bears.]

There's a trick to it. You have to appear bigger. An animal doesn't want to fight when it knows it won't get an easy prey. One thing we've done is holding out a gillie suit and extending it as a sheet behind, above a rock, and lone predators would assume we were much bigger than we were, and moved off.

If worse comes to worse, Saori can destroy it. Be grateful this place has Earth animals only.

[Bears are one thing. Intimidating several-meters-tall-monsters for training missions and using them to clear a base with more trainers quite willing to hurt them is another.

Fucking Gutas. She hates those things.]

[Yuuna would not be okay doing anything with Gutas around. Not at all.]

Trust me, I am thankful. Some of the stories I've heard from other people's worlds is frightening enough. I'd hate to think what kind of things you run into on your job back at home. We don't really have to deal with alien life where I'm from, though we have dealt with demons before.

[That wasn't fun. Not at all.]
